Abstract

Wearable biochemical sensors enable the real-time measurement of health parameters in non-invasive manner. In this work, we have developed polyaniline (PANI)/COOH-functionalized multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs)/sodium copper chlorophyllin (CuCP) coated conductive thread as a novel wearable platform for monitoring nitrite (NO2–) levels. The linear calibration plots for NO2– were obtained over the concentration range of 0.05 µM–10 mM with detection limit of 0.35 nM. The sensor platform was also tested for measuring NO2– levels in artificial urine samples.
