Abstract

ABSTRACT This paper describes the technique of psychodrama to facilitate victim empathy with adolescent sexual offenders. Other psychodramatic methods of role training sociodrama, mirroring and modeling and their applications to work with adolescent sexual offenders is also discussed. The history of the technique's implementation in a community based treatment programme is outlined, along with its application within an Outdoor Wilderness Group therapy programme. Other considerations relating to clients for whom the technique may not be appropriate are also discussed.
