Abstract

Research and scholarship (which we interchangeably term inquiry) and leadership are often viewed as separate professional pillars within academic frameworks and not seen as linked in individual skillset, qualities or competencies [1,2]. Given this, our innovation-driven healthcare organization pursued a goal to shift our thinking in regards to inquiry as being essential to the leadership competencies that are harnessed in a dynamic healthcare environment.
