Abstract

This paper opens debate about the importance of embeddedness in the ‘local context’ which helps enhance community participation and social capital, thereby allowing social entrepreneurial organizations (SEOs) with strong embeddedness to retain their mission orientation. We emphasize that social bricolore social entrepreneurial model will most likely able to retain their hybrid nature given their local positioning. The paper suggests that SEOs need to ideally position themselves in the local context before administering their interventions.
