Abstract

This book provides a consistent description covering many aspects of embedded systems development and explains their interrelationships, which is a very important compliment to other in-depth literature in specific subjects such as operating systems. Today there are communities that provide a lot of very specific and detailed information related to embedded systems, e.g., on setting up a specific package for an operating system. What are lacking are continuous and coherent descriptions holding all the fragments together and presenting a holistic view on the fundamentals of the embedded system, the involved components, how they operate in general, and how they interact and depend on each other. As such, this book fills perfectly a gap in the literature on the subject and will prove valuable to students and professionals who need a single coherent source of information.
