Abstract
The electromagnetic scattering of land-sea junction area derived from digital elevation model (DEM) is studied by the method of shooting and bouncing ray (SBR) in this paper. The DEM is converted into a mesh model in *.stl format by Global Mapper firstly. And then the mesh model is translated to the center of the coordinate system by Rotate operation and Translate operation. Finally, the point cloud data needed in the computing electromagnetic scattering is generated. The basic idea and related formulations of SBR are presented in section II. The electromagnetic scattering of a land-sea junction area with the size of 500m*500m in Zhoushan Island is calculated and discussed.
