Abstract

In this anatomy of the governing elite of Britain, Ellis Wasson reconstructs the shape and structure of the small, but stable, ruling dynasties from medieval times to 1945. What emerges is a picture of the elite class in more detail than ever before, alongside an account of the role of Parliament in the social structure of our country.
