Abstract

The article pays tribute to the memory of Eleonora Nesterova, an outstanding fellow of the research and pedagogical staff at Leningrad Vera Mukhina Higher School of Art and Design, an art critic, museum curator and mentor. As a specialist in history of porcelain and glass, she not only made her students aware of particular examples, facts, styles, or production characteristics, but also introduced them into a broad cultural and historical environment in an attempt to develop competence, creativity and academic and educational interest of future art 32 Научное мнение № 3 (2023) specialists. She established close liaison between the school ‘s educational museum and the Art Ceramics and Glass Department by managing museum internships and involving students into conferences of the Student Research Society. Graduates of those years cherish the memory and appreciate the work of Eleonora Nesterova for her keen interest in their professional and creative progress and future fate.
