Abstract

We can identify two main research areas in Łukasz Kamykowski’s theology of science. The first one treats the natural sciences as the context for theology. According to the assumptions of theological hermeneutics, every doctrinal statement is formulated in a specific cultural environment, and a proper understanding of it requires interdisciplinary research. The second area is related to the research of Teilhard de Chardin. The French Jesuit, and after him Łukasz Kamykowski, treats the honest search for truth itself as a kind of „act of faith”.
