Abstract
Perturbation of the electronic mean free path at a grain boundary, results in an elementary pinning interaction with a magnetic flux line, proportional to |∂Ψ(r)|2. The expression of the interaction energy for an isolated flux line is elaborated in the Ginzburg-Landau limit, yielding an approximate closed form expression for the pinning force.
