Abstract

Electrothermal Tristability Thin and flexible large-area light sources open up a universe of new applications in lighting technology. In article number 2106716, Axel Fischer and co-workers present how electrothermal self-heating phenomena in area light sources scale with panel size. They find an unprecedented inherent tristability that jeopardizes stable device operation and promotes abrupt failure.
