Abstract

An electrostatic, noncontact method that is based on a method developed earlier for continuous measurement of electric charges of solid particles in the two-phase particulate flow in pneumatic transport pipelines is presented. A microcomputer-based measuring system and some results of very preliminary tests are revealed. The system allows continuous, noncontact measurements of the average velocity of flow and the mass flow rate.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
