Abstract

It is shown that electrostatic pairwise interaction of charges on the semiconductor surface with a near-surface two-dimensional (quasi-two-dimensional) channel of degenerated free carriers is an oscillating one whose period and amplitude are determined by the surface-bound electron state density and external electric field. Proceeding from the above consideration it is possible to assume both the field reconstruction of the semiconductor surface and incidence of long-period ordered adsorption structures in the external electric field.
