Abstract

Electrospray mass spectral measurements on solutions containing an iron(III) compound containing a phenol group and H 2 16O 2 (or H 2 18O 2) revealed that facile peroxide adduct formation of an end-on type has occurred in the solution, and the difference in mass spectral behavior between the peroxide adducts with H 2 16O 2 and H 2 18O 2 was demonstrated.
