Abstract

Cyclic Voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and magnetohydrodynamic transfer function (MHD-TF) measurements have been carried out to study the magnetic field influence on the electropolymerisation of polyaniline (Pani) films from hydrochloric acid media. In the potentiostatic regime the EIS measurements and the MHD-TF (ΔI/ΔB)E of the doped Pani-film are directly connected to its low frequency capacitance, however, in the galvanostatic mode, the calculated MHD-TF (ΔE/ΔB)I confirms that the response is related to the induced electromotive force due to the high frequency modulation of the magnetic field.
