Abstract

We present a method for preparing colloidal suspension of various conducting polymer nanostructures in order to achieve better processability. The method utilizes the electrostatic repulsion that originates from the inherent positive charges carried on doped conducting polymer backbones for maintaining the stability of these colloidal suspensions. It was further demonstrated that these conducting polymer nanostructures in a colloidal state could be electrophoretically processed onto MEMS microsensor arrays with excellent control and precision.
