In this paper, we report that the intramolecular coupling of α-(bromomethyl) and α-(γ-bromopropyl) β-keto esters (n=1, 3) occurs electrochemically, and ring-enlarged products are formed from cyclic starting compounds in reasonable yields. The reaction mechanism is also discussed
