Abstract

ABSTRACT A new Extra-X Current Controlled Conveyor (EX-CCCII) based electronically tunable mixed-mode third-order universal filter has been proposed, which is composed of a single EX-CCCII, three capacitors and a load resistor. The proposed circuit employs a least number of components and can operate in four possible modes of operation, namely voltage mode (VM), current mode (CM), transadmittance mode and transimpedance mode (TIM). Five possible filtering functions – low-pass, high-pass, band-reject, band-pas and all-pass are realised through suitable selection of input signals, operable in three modes (VM, CM and TIM). The angular frequency (ωo) of the proposed circuit is electronically tunable. Non-ideal effects and parasitic analysis is carried out. Exhaustive simulation results using ±0.5 V supply are included to support the present theory.
