Abstract
Two slightly differing techniques are proposed to determine the electronic transition moment variation R e( r) for the A 2Σ-X 2 Π transition of the NO molecule. A very slow variation of R e with internuclear distance r has been observed for this transition. Therefore within a small range of r, R e( r) is treated as a constant; its value is 0.135 atomic units.
