Abstract

For the understanding of superconductivity in the high temperature superconductors (HTSC) the knowledge of the electronic states near the Fermi level is of primary interest. High-energy spectroscopies are a powerful tool for the investigation of high-energy parameters which determine the low energy properties of these compounds. In this lecture high-energy spectroscopy investigations on the electronic structure of HTSC will be presented. The pecularities of these spectroscopies combined with the complexity of HTSC require very careful preparation of HTSC samples and critical interpretation of results.KeywordsBand Structure CalculationCore HoleUnoccupied StateUltraviolet Photoelectron SpectroscopyCore Level Binding EnergyThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
