Abstract

An approximate diagrammatic technique is applied to the periodic Anderson Hamiltonian with finite Coulomb interaction. A Kondo peak at the Fermi level is obtained, it is split by the hybridization gap. We investigate the dependence of the gap and of the density of states as functions of the parameters of the Hamiltonian: the hybridization, the Coulomb repulsion and the energy of the ƒ-level.
