Abstract
In these lectures, I shall give an overview of the electronic structure of hydrogen in metals focussing mostly on transition metals. I will try to show that using the different techniques to study the electronic structure which have been developed at length during this Summer Institute, one can gain insight on the important problem of the electronic properties of hydrogen in metals. I would like to point out at the outset that this paper is not meant to be an exhaustive and complete review and that I will rather be giving my personal views on the problem and develop the points which I have found particularly interesting.KeywordsFermi LevelMetal HydrideMetal StateRare EarthRigid Band ModelThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
