Abstract
Iron was introduced into pure solid C60 by diffusion and decomposition of ferrocene at elevated temperatures. In order to identify iron ions state we applied the Mössbauer spectroscopy at various temperatures. To the most striking effect belong the non-monotonous dependence of the quadrupole splitting on the temperature.
