Abstract

Ab initio calculations have been performed to determine predominant configurations and CI wavefunctions of the observed electronic states of the TiO molecules. Insight in the structure of these states is gained owing to an analysis of electronic populations of the orbitals. Calculated energies and spectroscopic properties are in generally good agreement with experimental data. The wavefunctions are used to calculate values for the experimentally unknown dipole moments in each of the states.
