Abstract

The advantages and problems of using electronic speckle pattern interferometry (ESPI) at longer (infra-red) wavelengths are discussed. The adjustment and use of an ESPI set-up with a CO 2 laser and pyroelectric vidicon are described and illustrated by some experimental results.
