Abstract
Purpose: This study aims to assess the current perception and knowledge of electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) among pediatric and medicine-pediatric residents within the University of Illinois - Chicago system. E-cigarettes are one component of a larger category of devices known as electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS). Our current hypothesis is that given this is relatively new technology, the resident trainee population lacks sufficient knowledge of ENDS to effectively discuss their use with patients and families.
