Abstract
Electron-coupled proton spin-spin interactions in saturated hydrocarbon molecules are investigated theoretically by using the formulas obtained in the previous calculation by the author. Effect of interbond electron-correlation on the coupling is estimated for the case of CH 4 molecule, by utilizing long-range couplings between protons in unsaturated hydrocarbon molecules. The calculation shows that the interbond electron-correlation dominates the couplings and the coupling constant is negative, in the case of CH 4 molecule.
