Abstract
After showing that the electron wavelength and electron drift-mobility are quantized in quantum quasi-one-dimensional electron wave guides, we introduce and determine electron wavelength and electron drift-mobility quantum operators for investigating electron transport through the above waveguides in the ballistic regime. A linear relationship between the two aforementioned operators is found. Our formulation is valid for carbon nanotubes and nanowires.
