Abstract
In this work, a mechanism of electron trapping induced electrostatic adsorption of electrolyte cations (ETIEA) is proposed to explain the general photoactivity decay of nanostructured TiO2 electrodes, usually occurring during the initial several minutes of photoelectrochemical (PEC) processes.
