Abstract
Absolute total electron transfer cross sections have been measured for the K+–CH4 system, at impact energies 0.5–3.5keV. The charge transfer cross sections show a monotonic increasing behaviour as a function of the incident energy. Semiempirical calculation is in good agreement with the present cross-section data.
