Abstract

An anomalous paramagnetic relaxation behaviour at both a free radical in X-irradiated triglycine sulphate (TGS) and Mn2+ in trissarcosine calcium chloride (TSCC) has been investigated. Contrary to the critical shortening of the phase memory time TM, the spin-lattice relaxation time drastically increases at the phase transition hinting to a “bottleneck” in the spin-lattice relaxation path.
