Abstract
The electron self-energy in (2 + 1) QED with Chern-Simons term at finite temperature and density is examined. The exact expression for the electron energy shift has been found in the case of a completely degenerate electron gas. The electron temperature rest mass shift at finite density is considered. The limiting cases of high and low temperatures are also examined. The exchange correction to the thermodynamic potential in the case of zero mass and zero temperature has been found.
