Abstract
Optical potential methods of analysis are used to study low energy electron scattering from simple atoms and molecules. In ordex to specify the optical potential which is used to describe the collisional phenomena in question it is possible to take either a semi-empirical or a theoretical approach. Both of these approaches are used in this study.
