Abstract
A program is presented to calculate various experimental observables as bilinear products of scattering amplitudes for impact excitation of (quasi) one-electron atoms by a spin polarized electron beam. Furthermore, it is demonstrated how experimental data for a minimum set of observables can be “inverted” to extract the scattering amplitudes. A successful and unique inversion of such data corresponds to a “complete experiment”.
