Abstract
Cross sections are calculated for elastic, superelastic (including spin-flip) and inelastic collisions of electrons with the first excited state of potassium, and for transitions between the fine-structure states of the 4p and the 3d doublets, from reactance matrix elements obtained in a three-state (4s-4p-3d) close-coupling calculation with allowance for electron exchange.
