Abstract
A mutual impedance probe was developed at the Physical research Laboratory, Ahmedabad and flown on a Nike-Apache rocket launched from Thumba, near the magnetic equator in India near noon on 3 March 1973. The experimental details and the results obtained are presented in this communication. Electron density values obtained from Langmuir probe during the same flight are close to values obtained from impedance probe.
