Abstract

The relation of deviations from Matthiessen's rule (DMR) at high temperatures to electron-phonon interactions is analysed. It is shown that the Fogelholm-Rapp relation (1977) for DMR at high temperatures implies that changes in the electron-phonon interaction parameter, lambda , due to dilute impurities are caused predominantly by interference between electron-phonon and electron-impurity scattering.
