Abstract
The X-band electron paramagnetic resonance spectra of Co 2+ ion in the monoclinic lattice (C 3 2h ) CdPS 3 has been studied at low temperatures. All details of the spectra are satisfactorily described by a spin-Hamiltonian appropriate for Co 2+ in a crystal field of trigonal symmetry. The observed angular variation of the hyperfine structure of the allowed transition is found to be in good agreement with the theory
