Abstract

Vesicular bodies are observed during enzymatic degradation of the yeast cell wall and in the course of wall regeneration. In both cases various types of vesicles are formed and exocytated by different mechanisms. They are characterized cytochemically and their possible role in cell wall regeneration is discussed.
