Abstract

Channelling imaging of thick single-crystal specimens and improvement of the resolution by energy-loss filtering is demonstrated for a 350 nm thick gold film in a Zeiss 902 energy-filter microscope with 80 keV electrons. Image intensity and contrast are explained in the Bloch-wave picture.
