Abstract

The cross-sections for electron loss from 1-4.3 MeV amu-1 one-electron ions of He, Li, C, and O, originally in the ground state, colliding with He, N2, and Ar targets, have been measured. The data are compared to the theoretical results of N. Bohr, I. S. Dmitriev et al., and G. H. Gillespie, as well as to other experimental results. Cross sections for electron capture by the C and O ions are also presented.
