Abstract

In order to study effects of the weak disorder on the vortex phase diagram, magnetization and resistivity measurements have been performed for the irradiated un-twinned YBa2Cu3O y by 2.5 MeV electrons. The introduction of the point disorder reduces the critical point H cp of the first-order vortex lattice melting transition line and also the characteristic field H*(T) at which the critical current density shows steep increase. The results indicate that the vortex glass phase becomes stable with increasing point disorder. The vortex phase diagram is discussed on the basis of the field-driven disordering transition theory.
