Abstract

Abstract The effect of 2.5MeV electron irradiation on the intergrain critical field H cJ in ceramic YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7 was investigated at 20K. The variation of H cJ with damage up to 6.6★10 −3 dpa were deduced from screening efficiency of the sample in two coil mutual inductance. At doses below 1.6★10 −4 dpa we observed an enhancement of H cJ followed by a decrease at higher dose. The monotonic increase of the irreversible magnetization of intragrain origin was observed under irradiation.
