Abstract

In the present paper, we study the single ionization of methane and ammonia molecules by electron-impact. Our analytical formalism developed in the framework of the first and second Born approximations and the one Coulomb wave model is used to compute the triple differential cross section. Experimental and theoretical results for high and intermediate energies are presented and compared in coplanar symmetric and asymmetric geometries. Good agreement is found between our results and the experimental ones.
