Abstract
The electron impact induced fragmentation reactions of 4-ethyl-2,6,7-trioxa-1-phosphabicyclo[2.2.2]octane and its 1-oxide have been studied. Specific labelling, dependence on electron energy, and the effects on substitution have been used to obtain information on the mechanisms of reactions that include rearrangement of the molecular ion. A short comparison of positive and negative ion fragmentation is presented.
