He was born in Tel Aviv in 1950, received his B.S. Degree in 1974 and his Ph.D. in 1979, both from the Tel Aviv University (Isotope Separation and R F Spectroscopy in Supersonic Molecular Beams—U. Even, supervisor). He joined the School of Chemistry in 1980. He spent 1976 at Rice University, Houston, Texas (with P. R. Brooks) and 1985 at AT&T Bell Laboratories, Murray Hill, New Jersey (with M. J. Cardillo). His research interests include photochemistry and intramolecular radiationless processes, dynamics of gas-surface interaction at hyperthermal kinetic energies, analytical applications of pulsed flames, and mass spectrometry in supersonic molecular beams. Aviv Amirav is the author and co-author of 102 papers and 5 patents.Search for more papers by this author Aviv Amirav, Aviv Amirav School of Chemistry, Sackler Faculty of Exact Science, Tel-Aviv University, Ramat Aviv 69978, Tel-Aviv, Israel Aviv Amirav is a Professor of Chemistry at the Tel Aviv University, Israel.
