Abstract
The principles of electron holography were formulated 40 years ago. Recently, this technique has reached the level of practical application with the development of a coherent field-emission electron beam. In this method, magnetic lines of force are quantitatively observed in h/e flux units in an interference electron micrograph. Several applications of this method are introduced.
