Abstract

SynopsisWe present the experimental and theoretical study of electron emission from methane (CH4) in collisions with 5.5 MeV/u bare carbon projectiles. We have measured double differential cross section of electron emission and compared the data with the prior form of the continuum distorted wave – eikonal initial state (CDW-EIS) model calculation. The CDW-EIS calculations are in very good agreement with the data.
