Electron capture, ionization and n-shell distributions in collisions of ions with hydrogen

Abstract

Collisions between multicharged ions and atomic hydrogen are considered. In this paper, the classical trajectory Monte Carlo (CTMC) method is employed to calculate cross sections for charge transfer and ionization. For multicharged ions, a q-scaled curve for the transfer cross sections is obtained. We have also calculated the n-shell distributions for capture.
