Abstract
Some aspects of the electron capture by multiple charged ions are selected from the extensive literature published over the past few years on this subject. Sophisticated theoretical calculations dealing with simple systems and model calculations over a wider applicability are reviewed. Discussions of the experimental results are limited to those obtained by translational spectroscopy. Special attention is given to the double capture processes.
